You will be renting one of our private, off grid glamping cabins right alongside the Kikala stream. The cabins face the rainforest preserve next to the Kikala stream. The tropical beauty that will surround you here is unsurpassable, and the views are breathtaking. The most spectacular waterfall and swimming hole of the Kikala preserve is just a short walk from the cabins, and the river runs right through the middle of our farm, so we can offer you access to over 1/2 mile of private stream front with incredible vistas that rival National Parks. The cabins afford a deep restful sleep, with nothing but the sound of the river and the jungle to lull you to sleep. They are the perfect space for eco-minded travelers. You will feel like you are in a remote wilderness yet you will only be 15 minutes from downtown Hilo.While the cabins do not have their own private bathroom, the cabins are only 50 feet away from the main lodge building which has full private bathrooms with walk-in showers and has a kitchen and living area for your use. Please note that even though you have your own private space, this is a full service lodge, meaning that both the host and staff are available to handle any issues for you.

This rate is tied to our standard cancellation policy: 50% refund within 60 days of arrival, after that there are no refunds. Children under the age of 3 who co-sleep with the parents or use a crib do not need to be included in the number of guests.

This enchanting 2-level Ohana cottage is surrounded by lush rainforest on three sides and sits beside the tranquil Kikala stream. With unparalleled tropical beauty and views that rival National Parks, you’ll enjoy exclusive access to over half a mile of private riverfront, complete with spectacular waterfalls and swimming holes. Kids can explore, play, pet our friendly goats, and splash in the river, all within the safety of our spacious farm. Though it feels like a secluded wilderness retreat, you’re just 12 minutes from downtown Hilo. Please note: While the cottage is entirely private, this is a lodge, and on-site staff is available to assist with anything you need during your stay. While the waterfall and swimming hole are private to our farm, other lodge guests as well as the owners, also have access to this amenity.
